Willy Eisenschitz (Vienna 1889 – Paris 1974)

was an Austrian-French painter who is particularly known for his landscapes and still lifes. After studying at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, he moved to Paris in 1910, where he became an integral part of the local artistic community. Eisenschitz combined traditional techniques with modern colouring in his works, which gave him his own distinctive style. Despite his Austrian origins, he was particularly appreciated in France and influenced the European art scene with his works. His works can be found in major museums, including the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.
