Leontine von Littrow (Trieste 1868 – Vienna 1925)

was an Austrian painter who is particularly known for her impressionist style. Her landscape paintings captivate viewers with their vivid lighting effects and sensitive colour palette. An important place of activity for her was Abbazia (now Opatija, Croatia), where she made intensive studies of nature and captured the atmosphere of the Adriatic Sea. Leontine also spent time studying abroad, including in Munich and Paris, which broadened her artistic horizons. She came from a family of artists and was part of the Viennese art scene. Her works are now on display at the Austrian Gallery Belvedere and the Museum of Modern Art Ludwig Foundation Vienna, among other places.
