(Vienna 1891 – New York 1955)
Susi Singer was an Austrian ceramic artist who became known primarily for her colourful, expressive figures. After training in Vienna, she worked for the Wiener Werkstätte from 1917 onwards, where she developed her own unique style. In the 1920s, she established her own workshop in Grünbach, where she created numerous distinctive ceramics. In 1938, she emigrated to the United States, where she continued her artistic work. Singer's works combine traditional craftsmanship with individual expressiveness – playful, rich in detail and unmistakable.
