The J. & J. Kohn company prepared for the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900 with great care and architect Gustav Siegel played a central role in those preparations. As Kohn’s chief designer he designed an armchair of masterful beauty. It was celebrated by presenting it in a way that was unusual way for the time – in bent wood surroundings. The art of wood bending was thus demonstrated at the highest level. With this chair Otto Wagner pupil Siegel pointed his teacher towards to the Postsparkasse armchair.
